Vision, Values, and Beliefs

Our Vision

TREASURING CHRIST, TRANSFORMING LIVES

Our vision is for people to see that Jesus is the center of everything and He changes everything. In Jesus, we have been given every spiritual blessing. His love captivates our hearts in such a way that we no longer live for ourselves, but for God and for our neighbor. As we grow to know Christ, He renews our minds, transforms our character, redeems our relationships, and puts us on a mission to share His saving love with others. We pray that God would do this work in us, in our city, and in the world.

Our Values

Gospel-Driven

GOSPEL-DRIVEN

We belong to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ alone has the power to save and transform lives.

Worship-Centered

WORSHIP-CENTERED

God created and redeemed us for the purpose of worshiping Him. Individually, we offer our bodies as living sacrifices unto God. And corporately, we set aside every Sunday to give to God the first-fruits of our praises while feasting on the riches of His grace. Our Sunday gatherings serve as a foretaste of the heavenly glory to come.

Spirit-Filled

SPIRIT-FILLED

The Holy Spirit indwells every believer and does the vital work of convicting us of sin and illuminating the glories of God’s grace in Christ. Under the ministry of the Holy Spirit, we grow in grace, bear fruit, and mature into faithful disciples of God’s Kingdom. We pray that the Holy Spirit would be living and active among us.

Family-Minded

FAMILY-MINDED

The church is the household of God. Our spiritual pilgrimage is to be traveled hand-in-hand with our fellow brothers and sisters. We remain steadfast and grow in maturity as we commit ourselves to one another through discipleship, service, fellowship, and prayer.

Missional

MISSIONAL

God has a vision to see His name glorified among the nations and He calls us to be witnesses of His grace. We aim to do this in our relationships, our city, and throughout the world. We believe this is best done as we share the Gospel in word and deed, as we build up churches, and devote ourselves to prayer.

Covenantal

COVENANTAL

God’s covenant of grace was made with both believers and their children. We recognize the inclusion of all God’s people, both young and old, in the covenant assemblies of our spiritual forefathers. We therefore value and rejoice in multi-generational worship and ministry. And in partnership with parents we hope to faithfully raise up future generations for Christ.

Reformed

REFORMED

We are a part of that historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the Reformation. We are committed to the principle of Scripture alone, believing that the inspired Word of God is our only guide for faith and life. We are committed to the principle of grace alone, believing that our salvation comes from God alone through faith alone because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone; and that all things are to God’s glory alone. We are also committed to being Presbyterian, believing that the church is to be led by a plurality of elders as taught in Scriptures.

Our Beliefs

  1. We believe in the Trinity. There is one God who exists eternally in three Persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.

  2. We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is our infallible and divine authority in all matters of faith and life.

  3. We believe that all men are sinners and are totally unable to save themselves or even to cooperate with God in efforts to earn their salvation.

  4. We believe that salvation is by God’s action alone. God sovereignly chooses out of the fallen race of mankind those whom He will save. God alone saves the people whom He draws to Jesus by His Holy Spirit. He convinces them of their sin and enlightens them so that they repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as He is offered in the Gospel. Because God alone knows who are His, we call on people everywhere to repent and to trust in Jesus Christ.

  5. We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal son of God, who became man and lived and died and rose again to atone for the sins of those who trust Him alone for their salvation. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man.

  6. We believe that God’s Holy Spirit gives Christians the daily strength and wisdom they need to walk according to His will and to grow in holiness.

  7. We believe that Jesus Christ shall return personally, visibly, and bodily to judge all mankind and to receive His people unto Himself.
